1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, claiming a handler, or otherwise using getyourhandle.ableproman.hu (the "Service"), operated by ableproman ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not register for or use the Service.
2. What the Service Does
The Service lets a person reserve a unique text "handler" (a username-style identifier) free of charge, protected by a password of their choosing. The Service does not require an email address, phone number, or any other personally identifying contact information to register.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction if higher, to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Account Registration and Security
- Handlers may contain letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens, and must be between 3 and 32 characters.
- Each handler may only be claimed by one account at a time; once claimed, it cannot be reserved by anyone else unless the claiming account is deleted.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- We store only a one-way cryptographic hash of your password. We cannot recover your original password, and we will never ask you for it outside of the Service's own login and account forms.
- You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised, using the contact details on ableproman.hu.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Register a handler that impersonates another person or organization with intent to deceive, or that infringes a third party's trademark or other rights.
- Use automated means (bots, scripts) to register or claim multiple handlers in a way that circumvents the Service's abuse-prevention measures.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or to the Service's underlying systems.
- Use the Service to store, transmit, or reference unlawful content.
We may suspend or delete accounts that violate this section, with or without prior notice, at our reasonable discretion.
6. Handler Availability and Changes
Handlers are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. We do not guarantee that a specific handler will remain available before you complete registration, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of any previously claimed handler, including in cases of account deletion, abuse enforcement, or technical failure.
7. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the account settings screen after confirming your password. Deletion immediately and permanently removes your account record and releases your claimed handler for others to register. This action cannot be undone.
8. Service Availability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at our discretion.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ableproman will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory local consumer-protection law in your place of residence provides otherwise.
